Led by Barry Connolly, Avenue set an assertive tone early on. Rick Hayes and John Hughes provided excellent support, maintaining accuracy throughout and consistently putting Stratford on the back foot. Avenue delivered a solid performance to seal the rink 20 shots to 15.
Rink 3: J Rheams, C Thomas, M Kelly
This was undoubtedly the thriller of the evening! John Rheams, Colin Thomas, and Mike Kelly pushed hard from the outset. Stratford, however, steadily chipped away at Avenue’s lead, creating a tense finish. Ultimately, Avenue narrowly missed out, Stratford edging ahead 18-17.
Rink 4: J Briggs, G Parker, P Wadland
John Briggs, Graham Parker, and Phil Wadland engaged in a seesaw battle against determined Stratford opponents. Despite Avenue’s spirited comeback late in the game, Stratford maintained their composure and secured the rink 19-13.
