Match Report – Avenue BC vs Solihull Municipal BC

Avenue Bowls Club welcomed Solihull Municipal Bowls Club for a friendly fixture on Saturday 27th April.
On a pleasant afternoon at Avenue, five triples matches were played, and there was a great spirit of competition and camaraderie throughout.

Across the rinks, there were two wins, two losses, and one draw — with Avenue securing an overall victory by 16 shots!

Rink Results:

• Rink 1:
  J Ruddock, D Maclachlan, and P Wadland produced a commanding display to secure a strong 24–8 win.
• Rink 2:
  T Stops, I Morris, and R Hayes fought hard but fell to a 12–24 loss against a consistent Solihull Municipal trio.
• Rink 3:
  G Kearn, G Rooke, and R Muir played out a thrilling match, which finished all square at 13–13.
• Rink 4:
  A Richie, R Goddard, and A Smith delivered another fine Avenue victory, winning comfortably by 22–9.
• Rink 5:
  In the closest match of the day, C Turner, T Taylor, and J Harris were just edged out by a single shot, losing 13–14.

Overall Match Summary:

Avenue secured a deserved overall victory, winning the match by 16 shots after a strong showing across the five rinks.
With two rink wins, one draw, and two narrow defeats, it was a good all-round performance by the Avenue teams.
