Avenue Bowls Club hit the road for their latest friendly, visiting the always-welcoming Wolvey Bowls Club for an afternoon of cracking competition, tricky heads, and plenty of banter.
With six rinks in play, it was a game of fine margins—close across the board and packed with end-to-end action. Despite some standout rink wins and a drawn battle, Wolvey just sneaked the overall win by 89–87 shots. But make no mistake—Avenue’s players showed plenty of form and flair to carry into the next match.

A tight contest where P. Hooper, R. Goddard, J. Goddard, and L. Maughan kept the pressure on but narrowly slipped to a 15–13 defeat.

Steady and strong from J. Briggs, G. Parker, K. Rheams, and R. Maries, who secured a fine 15–10 win with some classy ends.
Rink 6:
A back-and-forth affair saw P. Wadland, K. Underhill, D. Maclachlan, and J. Hughes edged out 14–11, despite some late pressure.
